About WikiPoolCleaner

WikiPoolCleaner keeps a running list of automatic pool cleaners for sale at the store: robotic cleaners with a cord, cordless robots that run on a battery, suction-side cleaners that hang off the pump, and pressure-side cleaners driven by a booster. Each page shows what a listing says about a cleaner and what it costs on the day we looked.

What a listing says, and nothing more

The type of cleaner, whether it is cordless, which pool it is meant for and how large a pool it claims to cover are copied from the listing's own title, in the seller's words. Where a title says nothing about one of those, the cell stays empty; we do not look at a photo and guess. A figure given in metres is left unread rather than converted to feet so that two cleaners appear to match.

No one here has put one in a pool

Nobody on this site has lowered a robot into water, emptied its basket or listened to its motor. There are no photos of our own, no star scores and no remarks about how well a cleaner climbs a wall or how long its battery really lasts, because we would be making them up. Cleaning claims, run times and warranty terms are the seller's statements, and setup, filter care and safe handling belong with the maker's manual.

Prices carry a date

A number you see beside a cleaner on WikiPoolCleaner was copied from the store, and the date and hour of that copy sit next to it. Once a number is stale we stop showing it rather than let it mislead, and the store's listing remains the place to confirm what you would pay today.

How the site earns

WikiPoolCleaner takes part in the Amazon Associates program: if a purchase follows one of our links, Amazon pays us a small commission and the price you pay stays the same. Order on a page comes from price and the filters you choose, and no seller can pay for a better place.

Guides here rank cleaners using the figures a listing gives and the price. Under Learn you will find plain explanations of terms such as suction versus pressure side, cord swivel and filter type, drawn from what makers and pool-industry bodies publish, and the front page says how many cleaners are covered.
